    I've got a 2012 tacoma and a friend just bought a 2012 4 runner my truck is rated at 236hp and his 4 runner is rated at 270hp.

    What did they do to get more HP in the 4 runners?

    the only things i know of is that they added VVT-i to the exhaust instead of just the intake and the oil filter is different now too on the 4R
