I don't get this. I had a Hemi Ram that I traded in on the Taco. I loved my Ram but traded for several reasons, most of which was for better mpg's and wanting a 4x4. But I think they are the best looking full size on the road. As far as sound, this is one of the things I miss the most. I had a Magnaflow dumped right in front of the rear axle on mine and it sounded awesome! I loved it, it wasn't too loud like some I know but just loud enough for me. It did have a couple of issues. The sunroof gear broke and was fixed under warranty. The other that was the big one that bothered me was it had a shutter in the tranny or rear end that scared me. But strangely it went away when I put new tires on it. But I think overall it was a good truck. It was more than I needed (another reason for trading), since I didn't really tow anything anymore. But the biggest reason I did buy that truck in the first place was it was a bad ass truck for the $. I wanted a Tacoma when I got it but the Ram costed less.

Over all I was happy with my Ram and had fun with it, but I am happy I have the Taco since I've always wanted one. Can't say I would or wouldn't buy another Ram but I'm happy to have a truck that holds it value like no other and should last me quite a bit longer.

You sold a truck (that you liked) because one dealership didn't treat you well.

    WHY???

    I didn't sell it, I traded it.

    1. Because after I had the truck for two weeks I noticed that a seal on the cab was not complete. Almost like they ran out of the seal...the paint was intact and I was afraid water would get in. I brought it back and they said that it was because I loaded something into the truck and it hit the cab. I didn't notice it before because it was near the black rubber lining. The black of the lining and the black of the lack of seal blended in together. I never loaded anything into the bed of the truck and you can tell by looking at the paint that I never did. He said that because I didn't have the extended warranty it would not be covered. The truck was 2 weeks old and didn't even have the plates yet! Even the body shop that they referred me to said it was a manufacturing defect and wrote a letter to confirm that. I had to jump through hoops to finally have it taken care of but that was a month later when corporate finally okay'd to fix it.

    2. I brought the truck in at 12k miles because the steering wheel shook when driving past 40mph. He said that my suspension was shot and that I needed a whole new suspension, that it would run me nearly 4 - 6k depending how bad. He said I must have abused the truck by trying to take it off road. I have never taken it off road, it was a 2WD. Heck, my 4x4 has never been off road! Needless to say, I took it to the mechanic that works on my show cars and he said all it needed was a balancing because the weight fell off. He balanced it and there were no issues after that.

    3. I went in for an oil change and they told me it would take 1 hour. I was one of the first cars there in the morning so I decided to just have coffee, read the paper and wait. Two hours later, I was still waiting. I inquired about it and was told "Oh, nobody told you? It's been done a long time ago." The truck was brought to me, and there was a door ding on it that wasn't there before. Good thing I went over the truck prior to them taking it to service and had the guy note on the work order that there were no dings or scratches.

    4. In trying to get the door ding ^^^ repaired, I had to go through corporate, send pics and go back and forth between the service manager and corporate. Three weeks later the ding was fixed.

My husband was sick of the way they were treating me. So he traded it in for a Lexus where we were treated way better.

    That's why.

You must have driven for two years the truck with the 4/6/8 engine. What kind of mileage did you get?

Then as usual again, the dealer lied to me. Thanks for the info. I learned something new! Got hella good gas mileage on that Hemi, though. :)

This. I had an 08 Z71 and if the conditions were right I could get it to say 99 MPG, and realistically I only ever got around 15 MPG.. bone stock, and I do realize I'm comparing GM to a Chrysler product, I'm just agreeing with the lie-o-meter, lol.
