Temp issue with a 98 4 cylinder

    air filter and custom headlights
    It seems that my temp gage fluctuates alot. from a 1/4 postion to a 1/2. never overheats but changes alot while I am driving.

    Is this normal or not. It almost seems like the thermostat is not playing right. but I have not opened it up to check it yet. :)

    What should the proper temperature be for the 4 cylinder in a 1998 tacoma? 190 degrees?:eek:
