I am a new Taco owner, new truck owner to be more specific. My brother worked at a dealership when I bought my truck and I had him run the vin to see how the truck was equipped at time of first purchase. It said that my truck had the optional LSD installed and the SR5 package #2 (I think that's what it said).

My question is what is the good of a LSD On this truck (better street or off-road driving?) and what is included in the upgraded SR5 package?
I will try to scan the printout he gave me and post it here so you all can help me understand what's what.

The LSD is really meant for low traction situations, whether that be on road or off.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k-LmnS3ED0 The video demonstrates the differences between an open diff, limited slip, and locked diff.

The SR5 package basically includes creature comforts; remote entry, power windows, door locks, and mirrors, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, chrome grill surround, color matched front bumper, fog lights, chrome rear bumper, sliding rear window, visors with the pullouts, cruise control and probably some other things I am forgetting.

Wow, the Dodge limited slip seems pretty useless!

If you take your time and go with light throttle touches, the LSD can be useful in low-traction situations. Of course it is not as useful as a fully locked diff, but it will get you further down the trail than an open diff.

    Nobody mention the "A" word.

That's the one good thing about my 2007, no electronic driving aids so I can one tire fire 'til I'm riding on the rim :D
