Fuck that. I dont care if it was my best friend, family member, anything, if i ever caught them abusing a dog, id make their life a living hell. OP, call the humane society and go from there. They will get the dog and most likely a shelter will pick the dog up and give it a better home.

Have you talked to her about it? If not, for all you know, she may have arranged for someone else (neighbor, friend, co-worker, etc) to stop by to feed, water, and walk the dog periodically while she's on vacation. That is what many people do in such circumstances.

The tone of your message gives the impression that you're trying to stir up trouble for her because she's no longer with your uncle. For example, since you're in Houston and the dog is in SC, I'm wondering how you even know about the food, water, a/c, and so on. If that's your goal, you need to stay out of it. Couples break up occasionally, for many reasons. Your uncle's deployment obviously doesn't change that reality.

Sorry for the belated response, but I did not want to get in anyone's business without my uncle's consent (he had no idea she did this btw) and thought it would be a good idea if he handled this on his own. I don't have many details but from what I can gather he called his friend who lives near their apartments and he got the dog (he was still alive, what a trooper). I'm guessing he was starving and dehydrated but he's in good hands now, and as for her, she is flying back there in approximately 30 minutes, and I'm not sure if the police were involved or not, I'll have to ask him without being nosy.

Thanks for your contribution. I did talk to her per say, I sent her a message on Face Book, (she's on it 24/7 and I know she received the messaged) it wasn't bashful and I wasn't being an ass, I politely told her to make one of her friends there in SC go and feed and walk the dog or I was going to call the SPCA on her and they will take the dog, of course I got no response so I asked my uncle in law's sister (my mother in law) what I should do, she called her brother and he took it from there. I still think the bitch should be hung, I really would love to give everyone her name (she leaves her FB profile page set to public) but like I said they are going through a divorce and I don't want anything to come up in a custody hearing about harassment next month and what not, he will be fighting to keep his children.
