I started in my early twenties and wish I would have started sooner. I play all kinds of music. My "go-to" songs are hard rock/classic rock and some metal. My favorite guitar is an American made strat modified with hot rail pickups. Used to have a total of 11 electrics and 3 acoustics but my ex wife solved that problem.

I love Yamaha. I have an electric AES-800. I also have a cheap Yamaha acoustic I bought for 200 bucks and it sounds like a $1200 guitar.

I didn't start playing until my late teens. I didn't get good until I got serious and made the commitment to practice every day. That was about 10 years ago.

Fender American Telecaster - Texas Special pickups
Fender Classic Vibe Telecaster - stock

    Martin D18 Golden Era acoustic
    Martin D28 Clarence White acoustic

I play rock/blues using the Telecasters through a Fender Blues Junior (thinking about getting a Deluxe Reverb at some point)

The acoustics are used for flatpicking bluegrass and fiddle tunes

(also play mandolin and bass when asked nicely)
