Eight months in 06 and 2 months in 07, I doubt there's anything there now that makes it any better than when I was there.

I'm not sure what PCSing is but there's not a lot to do there, there's a pizza joint called tonys that is okay but expect to see drunken infantry school troops there all the time, there's a night club type bar right by that which also contains drunken new guys most of the time. There was a military bus called the IBBS that ran from the base to Edmonton and back five times every weekend, I'm not sure if that is still going on. It should be semi cheap to buy a house there but you won't get PLD I don't think. There's a semi nice restaurant called the honey pot downtown which I would recommend. I think they let you use parts of the training area for your dirt bike or quad and the terrain is pretty much perfect for that.

You have about 22 hours of daylight and 2 hours of dusk on the longest day of the year. the shortest day, you have about 4 hours of daylight :(

You need to go about 100 miles north to see the sun touch the horizon.

LOTS of mosquitos and gnats, beautiful scenery, plenty of hunting and fishing.

Haven't been there in quite a few years....
