I tried the search and found nothing...so...post pixs or experiences of military related Tacomas here. I don't have much info about this photo other than US Special Forces in Afghanistan. I read somewhere Toyota donated several Tacomas to the Spec Ops folks at the start of the war. I don't know if that's true or not. This photo came from a MilitaryPhoto site.

...and one more. Perhaps B.A.M.F. can make a group buy M240 mount for the bed.

I remember in '02 driving several brand new Tacomas off C-17s in Bagram. After they were processed, ODA's picked them up and they went all over the country. Last year I went back to Bagram and my "FOB" Runner" was one of the original trucks but it was beat down pretty bad. But still ran and never let us down.
This one is an '02 with low miles (~20K)....

    I drove a Surf (the 4Runner) while over there. Saw a shit-ton of Hilux's.

And one white, DCSB Tacoma, with California plates!

Tell you what the Hiluxes over here are beast!
To protect OPSEC I won't give out names or dates, but on this current deployment we had a complex attack on our FOB and the ODA team here with us came rolling up reacting to it with us and the INS launched a 40MM at the ODA guys and I watched it blow up in the grill of the truck and watched that truck go in reverse and get out of the kill zone and still run after the firefight...
Granted the truck was/is most likely uparmored, but either way those things are beasts.
