sap

hello,

tried the search option. didnt come up with much. I was doing some yard work and apparently i got sap on the back of my head. Jumped in the truck and now i have sap on the headrest. Any ideas on how to get this out?

Hmm... I would try dish soap as it won't discolor fabric and it breaks down maple syrup.

yah thanks for the google search. I already did that. Just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas here before i tried one of these.

 

Butter

 

"sap" is a pretty vague description. Most evergreen sap is not water soluable, but most others are. If it's mot pine try plain water.

I'm not joking about the butter , I use it all the time to get sap off my hands etc

 

WD-40 works awesome for sap, then brake clean to take that out of the upholstry. Seriously. Get the non-flamable chlorinated brake clean, blot it out with a clean rag and let it dry well (12 hours) before sitting in the seat. You could try brake clean by itself on the sap first, but I'm not sure it will remove it as well as the WD. Its the ticket for greases and any stubborn stains though.
