    Hey everyone,

This is my first post on Tacoma World though I've been browsing for a while. I just recently bought a 99 Tacoma for 9900. It has 215 Kms on the engine and it's in really good shape. I'm a student in british columbia canada so i'm on quite a tight budget although i want to do things to her, including new shoes, cold air, new head/tail lights and probably a lift although she sits decently tall already. I read up about the deckplate mod on the forum and was going to do it, when i found out that my intake had a crack in it which im hoping has been the reason behind the check engine light thats been coming on and off. I patched it for now and am hoping to order a cold air soon although i'm having some trouble finding a decently priced one that also ships to Canada. As for rubber and rims I'm planning on crossing the border and picking something up south of the border in hopes of saving some cash.

So far other than the intake I haven't really had any problems to speak of, I just changed the belts today which were the originals so they were in pretty rough shape, so it needed to be done. Some of the interior lighting seems to be burnt out and the bulb behind my speedometer is flickering when i turn my lights on.

Anyways, any tips or suggestions about what I should do to her would be very welcome, I'm loving being a tacoma owner thus far and am hoping to get into this forum more aswell!

    Thanks a lot,

    Mark
