    Hey guys,

Just got my new 2012 TRD Sport. I've been seeing a lot of awesome trucks on the site, and I wanted to get your input on what you think could be done with this stock truck to make it look even better!

    Here's what I'm thinking:

Lift: Either 3" or 6" - not sure what to go with, any suggestions? Pros or cons to either?

Wheels: Black or chrome? Because of the color of the vehicle, I could see either type of wheel looking good.

Tires: Definitely want something more aggressive than stock

Body: Possibly new grille, bull bar, nerfs, etc

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

    Oh, here's the truck:

Lift, wheels and tires are always the biggest. I prefer a 3" lift but 6"s are popular too. I think a black or chrome scheme would look good on your truck. Hope you got deep pockets cause once you get the mod bug, it dont let go until your bank accounts dries up!!:p

Yeah I agree. Plus there is a lot more work involved on installing a 6" like cutting.

I'm looking to spend a couple grand or so to start. We'll see where it goes from there!

You should drive it like you stole it, get it dirty, then throw a 3 inch suspension lift with 33's on 17's on......just to get you started

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah I'm having a hard time deciding between a black or chrome scheme. I guess I'll have to do more looking around. Is it bad that I ALREADY have the mod bug and I haven't even done anything yet? :D

So it seems like the consensus is a 3" lift. I've read a lot about rubbing issues that require trimming. Are we talking just trimming of the inner plastic areas or something more? By trimming this plastic, would you be prone to more road noise?

Also UCA problems due to lifting. Any of you know exactly what the deal is with this UCA and how much work it is to take care of it? Something about things not being "within spec."

Finally, I've been seeing things on having to get a "Tom Wood one piece driveshaft" once a lift has been put in. Any thoughts on this or an idea of price? I checked on the site but in order to get a quote I'd need to send in a bunch of info on my truck.

    I seriously appreciate the help!

I was actually eyeing up your truck earlier today! Those blacked out emblems look amazing. I also like the wheels. What kind of backspacing do they have? I know the stock TRD Sport wheels have a 5.5" and there's obviously no rubbing. Any need for spacers? Any rubbing issues?

I think I'd like it to ride at about that height, maybe slightly higher.
