Yeah, makes sense. I'll do some more research on it now too. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely ask him about it.

Can't afford to do anymore mods for a little while if I expect to regear and get back home to WY for a few weeks.:p I wanted to upgrade anyway

In that case, it better be done by then!

    http://www.amazon.com/Radiantz-Illuminator-License-Finish-8202-52/dp/B001187HQU/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&qid=1312002658&sr=8-21

When I ordered them I didn't realize they were for motorcycle plates. I cut the lower portion off and modified/trimmed what was left to make it fit behind full-sized plates.

You could go that route I guess, or just find something else available on Amazon. I picked it because I was just paying attention to the ratings.

So are you going to lift it any more anytime soon, or just saving up for that pricey SAS?

I can't lift it any higher unless I use a drop bracket, body lift, or SAS. And the first two i would never consider. I'll be saving for the SAS. :D

Not all the SAS's have to be pricey.. Even the nicer IFS lifts can cost as much as a SAS. Considering when you lift, you need to get bigger tires, different gears, lockers, and other fun stuff.

Yeah i know, i did a SAS on my old 94 pickup for around $2500. But every build of a SAS'd taco i see has had way over 3000 bucks put into it.... My truck has a 3" revtek spacer but it rides like i have no suspension, ive been considering a body lift but idk i love solid axles too much

From what I've read, sounds like pulling the rear axle shafts is pretty easy. Do I need to replace bearing or seals if I take it out? Truck has around 141k miles on it.
