I am currently living in eastern WA about 30 minutes from the ID border. We own a 1999 Tacoma 4x4, V6 3.4 L, extended cab, with many miles on it nearly 200K. I am hoping to go for 500K if at all possible. I look at the new Tacomas with all the electronic BS on them and sigh. What happened to making a 4x4 for the family that likes it simple.

Our other truck is a 06 Dodge Cummins quad cab, 5.9 L engine, 8 ft box, with wind up windows, manual door locks, manual seats, auto transmission (because it was such a great deal when I found the truck) and a manual shift into 4 wheel drive and out no electronic switch. This truck is our camper, boat, kayak, hunting etc. truck.

BTY if anyone wants to move to eastern WA and needs a house ours is for sale so we can move back home.
