    99 Tacoma 4WD TRD
    Hey everybody!

I have been lurking these forums for the past 2 weeks or so, but finally decided to join.

    Just got my first tacoma. (not my first toyota however, had a 94 4WD truck 22re, and a 91 4Runner, 22re 4WD).

It's a 1999 Tacoma TRD SR5 V6 4wd. It's been my dad's truck since it drove off the lot in 1999, and now it's mine. I traded my trusty old 96 2wd ranger plus some cash for it. She's had a hard, hard life. My dad is a flooring installer and since day 1 it's been loaded down with a camper shell, heavy steel lumber racks, and several hundred pounds of tools, every day. It's got 209,000 miles on it, but still running strong! Just completed a basic tuneup on it, (Oil, filter, plugs, wires, cleaned MAF, cleaned TB), as well as cosmetic maintenance (Clay bar, polish, wax, paint grill)

Anyways, on with the pics! (attached) I removed the lumber racks because they are just too much for this poor little truck.

I went ahead and ordered a Toytec ProComp AAL, to help the rear out this winter until I can afford new leafs next season.

Also a friendly tip, there is a small, tiny little ground wire that comes off the battery's negative harness... keep an eye on it..

Mine broke at some point during the tune up yesterday, and the truck had all sorts of problems (slow accel, sputtering, HUGE loss of power, and died on me going around a corner).

Replaced it with a nice new ground strap and all seems to be good now.
