so i'm driving a 2011 dc with the 4.0 and trd supercharger and cat back exhaust which is amazing, however its got me craving for more. I'm wondering if anyone know what the max output these drivetrains can handle without changing too much around or having to worry about something going wrong. i've still got another 10k miles on the warranty for the supercharger and don't plan on doing anything until its up. planning on going with an intake, the urd smaller pulley and some sort of tuner (haven't figured out which one yet, input on any of yours would be appreciated)

    Thanks guys

From my understanding the drivetrain on the Tacoma's are pretty bullet proof. I think I have seen Tacoma's at 400+ hp on stock drivetrain but I might be mistaken.

get a set of long tube headers, intake, and the 2.8" pulley. Those will give you a nice increase. No need to wait for the warranty to expire do it now!

    On going
Water methanol injection will give you about 30% more power with the set up you have
There is a link to that on horsepowertv.com

Just because it's relevant and a good opportunity to ask.....how much does the stock engine with TRD Supercharger put to the ground? (whp)

My question is what parts would bolt up and what parts would have to be fab'd from the swap. The tundra gets the 4.7 as the do the 4Runner which also gets the 4.0 that is (mostly) what we get in the Tacoma. This leads me to believe that a 5.7 would be almost bolt in swap. At 504 crank hp, that truck is making just over 400 at the wheels. That auto i'd imagine eats up a bit of HP.

Some where in the ballpark of 301-314rwhp.

100whp gain sounds optimistic but I'd like very much to think that's what people are getting. My interest has been piqued.

So more like 50rwhp....that sounds more realistic. Thanks for posting that.

My truck with just headers, intake and exhaust put down 220rwhp with the trd s/c installed it put down 300rwhp its more now since I changed the pulley and never went back to dyno to see what its putting down now.

TRD SC already has a built in intercooler. It is an Air-to-water set-up.
