So I have wrestled with the idea of trading in my 2011 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited basically since I bought it(April 2011). I have wanted a Tacoma for as long as a can remember, but I was talked out of buying one:)() when I was looking for cars last year.
Don't get me wrong, the Subaru is a very nice car. But it was just that, a car. I was getting tired of stuffing my mountain bike inside the trunk. So I just went today and test drove a '12 DCSB TRD Sport with Entune, and I fell in LOVE! I agreed to a price and trade in, but I am awaiting the call from the dealer because they only had a Black in the specs that I wanted. I want Super White, but I am guessing they are having trouble finding one, because they haven't called.

P.S. For those searching for the price I paid. This was with no-haggling. I am from Topeka, KS.
    MSRP $34,485
Price agreed to $31,645 before TTL(our tax is 8.95%)
    -$500 Tacoma rebate
    -$1000 College grad rebate
    -$5500 trade in(they are giving me $20,000 and I owe $14,500)

Here is what I will be trading. I will miss the leather seats and dual zone automatic climate control.

Greetings from another Topeka native (Wichita now).

Lewis Toyota has always been overpriced, IMO. I haven't shopped for a new truck in a few years, but when I was shopping, they had the exact same truck I ended up buying for $2,000 more. When I showed them the ad for the truck I was going to buy (miles were even like 500 miles different), they wouldn't budge and told me to go buy the other truck, which I did. They also did my Mom no favors on her Avalon purchase. That said, if you got a decent price, that's all that matters in your situation.

    Congrats!

I am dealing with Crown in Lawrence. But it is funny you say that. No one in my family has had good luck with Lewis in the past. But the price I listed above was actually Lewis Instant price and Crown came down to match it. Evidently Lewis changed sales managers, but they didn't earn my business.
Today I went to buy the EXACT truck I want from them. I drove up and parked right in front of the building and walked out to the trucks. 3, count 'em 3, salesman were out walking the lot unlocking cars and not one of them came up to me. I stayed for ~10 minutes and left. It was their loss, it would have been their easiest deal for a long time. I was ready to buy and they screwed it up.

Crown is a good dealership. Sounds like you did good!
