Howdy fellow Tacoma lovers...I'm looking forward to exploring what others have experienced with the best truck out there. I've got a 1992 4x4 that I've been driving since 1997 without a problem. Best thing I've ever had with wheels. Just bought an 02 double cab Prerunner, automatic 2.7. What a slug! My old 92 with a 2.4 will eat it alive. Good thing I'm old and retired and not in a big rush to get anywhere. The real drag is I have to get rid of my 92. It's like taking my dog to the vet for "the big sleep". My friends tell me my attachment to old 92 is not normal, or healthy. So there ya go!

    Morning froggy.

Welcome to TW! Sounds like you just upgraded from "ancient" to "old". I wish I had an ancient Tacoma in the garage tbh.

Don't do it!! I love my 93 so much more than my 12! haha

the biggest regret I ever see on any of these forums is people getting rid of their pre tacos!

    also, welcome :D

I know I'll regret getting rid of old 92. I planned to drive it another 15 years, or till my kids snatch my drivers license, but I have some trashed knees and pumping a clutch is getting to be a drag. So I've gone auto. If my new [02] Prerunner has half the heart of old 92, I'll be happy. Not to mention my wife and daughter freaking out if I was to web-strap grandkids cars seats down in the bed. Four doors work.
