I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
Trust me, its not really necessary at stoney lonesome.

I've been looking at the first one you posted. However, the second one probably isn't worth tearing apart. You can get a viair oba kit for like 300 bucks or less.

If anybody has a scuba tank, I have an adapter that allows you to run air tools or air up tires.

isn't that about 3500 psi unregulated? or is the adapter a regulator?

The adapter is the regulator, and yes, scuba tanks run from 2800-4800 psi depending on the type and size of tank used.

Only problem with using an AC compressor is lubrication. The AC compressors use compressor oil that is inside the lines to keep itself lubricated. Once you eliminate that, compressor will lock up reasonably fast.

Yep. Thats why you an inline air tool oiler :) I've been reading haha.

Here is actually a good write up that I found worth reading. Its actually pretty clever and I had no idea the potential of the compressors as an OBA supply.

Got a buddy who runs a york on his FJ60. Thing is stout. He has a DIY front bumper, and he welded the wings shut for the tank. All in all it's pretty sweet.

    His install:

To Bill's point. He did burn up the first one ;)

That was a good build that he did. only time will tell if that in-line oiler is enough to hold up to prolonged use, but it might just work!

I will go ahead and add you to list, but all you really need to do is copy-paste then add your names at the bottom. lol.

    1) Paul
    2) BamaToy1997
    3) Mac424205
    4) 1Tac0ma
    5) Kyle

So far, unless things change, we will have 9 vehicles. At this point I would like to ask those who are coming to please add beside your name what trail equipment you have that will be coming. Again a simple cut-paste will be fine. This way we will have an idea in advance what we may need to bring if nobody else has it.
    EXAMPLE:

    1) Paul
    2) BamaToy1997 - tow chains, 30' snatch strap, basic hand tools
    3) Mac424205
    4) 1Tac0ma
    5) Kyle
    6) GatorTaco92
    7) Friend of BamaToy1997 in her Jeep XJ

Edited for more info. It seems that the website for Stoney says there will be a night ride on the 28th! That might be interesting.
