Hey everyone. I'm a brand new, first time Tacoma owner--been waiting since 1985 (Back to the Future) to buy a Toyota Pickup. Needless to say it's been an awesome first couple weeks.

So the bad news... with less than a 1k miles on it, I've been getting a popping noise from the front right wheel anytime I am slowly turning at an angle (i.e. making a u-turn into a driveway, turning out of a slanted, hillside parking spot). Just started a couple days ago. With the exception of some mildly bumpy fire roads last weekend, no serious off-roading or anything remotely intense.

Any ideas? Seems ridiculously early for a CV boot or bushing to go out... and I'm wondering if it's something I should take into the Toyota dealership right away, or just wait till my 5,000 mile scheduled maintenance (as long as it doesn't get any worse). I'm assuming that if there's something wrong, it should be covered by warranty immediately.

Any one had any similar experience with brand new parts/suspension? Just curious.... thanks for the help!

    BTW, it's a 2012 4x4 with TRD Off-Road.

You have a new truck obviously still under warranty. Take it to the dealer.

Dealership checked everything, said they made a minor adjustments to the "rear spring clamps" or something like that--which they didn't think would be causing the problem I was describing--but otherwise said they couldn't find anything wrong.

3 weeks later and never heard the sound again. The adjustment must've been it.

Thanks for the obvious, but sound advice... just wanted to see if anyone had any idea about what it could be before I took it in.
