    Hi all,

I have removable racks that clamp between the top of the bed rail and the T-track. I've used them for a few years, and like them because I can remove them to use my tonneau cover and to keep the rack out of the winter salt. They're alpharacks, but the website alpharack.com is no longer in use, so I guess they weren't big sellers!

Anyway, due to the clamping force, the top of the bed rail deforms downward somewhat while the rack is installed. I've noticed that I can push the rail downward at least 3/8 inch or so, so I was thinking that I should add a shim under the plastic surface to eliminate the movement.

Does anyone know how to remove the top bedrail? I was hoping not to remove the T-tracks in the process, but that might be necessary.

    Thanks,

    Tom

oops - followup: Just saw this thread:

It looks like he used Rhino liner or something like that in place of the plastic.
