Advice for trapping raccoons

...think i heard this from a farmer, or something.. but the story was the best way to get rid of all of 'em is to trap one in the cage, tie a rope to the cage, throw it in a pond, ...wait a minute, bring it out, release it, ....and "word will get out", ...then you won't have a racoon problem anymore

 

^ In the engineering circles, it's called the floatation test. If the cage floats, the racoon is meant to live.

 

Just shoot it if you wanna kill it , no need to be cruel about it
