Which do you prefer? I've seen a few tacomas with hid's but I think the original lights are better. Are the hid's worth it or should I just invest into the halo lights?

I'd start with $25 spent on Phillips Xtreme bulbs. If you like them, then great. If not, then you can invest in replacing the headlights and you're only out $25. The Philips are bright white - nothing like HIDs, but they're legal and perform great.

Well one things for sure the hid's are cut from the list. I like the Phillips but, kind of want to give the front a new look with the Mh1 kit.

If you don't go with HID, then forget ANY projector style headlight.
eBay projectors are shit. eBay projectors with plug-in HID are barely as good as stock, and the pattern is still shit.

    Stock for now.
    +1 on retro

The regular xenon bulbs IMO are a no no. They are brighter than stocl halogen, but light output is worse.and run a higher wattage. Stick with stock halogen or retrofit a proper HID projector.
