DC LB V6 4X4 15.5mpg during the first 2 tanks.
On my third tank and I think I'll get better mpg out of this one. I'm already at 250 and it just reach the last quarter

'09 Double Cab 4 x 4 V6 TRD OR with approximately 5K Average around 18, but did hit 19 last time I filled up. Very little highway. I have noticed that my mileage is improving with age.

I am a real geek when it comes to this stuff. Yep I have a spread sheet

I have an 09 Std cab base model. 2wd, 2.7L. I have been getting just under 25, although that is all highway. I've had it just under a month now and I just crossed 2000 miles this morning. (First payment is due Monday).

I have roughly 5k on my '09. Since it has gotten warmer, my mileage has improved back to where it was in the fall. Filled up yesterday and I avg'd 19.5mpg. It was down 2-3mpg during the cold months. AC V6 4x4 auto.

I really have to say I am disappointed with my gas millage as the sticker states 26MPG highway and I have never seen this in the 8k miles I have had the truck. Keep in mind I am in Florida w/ flat roads. The best I have seen was 23MPG and that was ALL highway 65MPH avg. and no A/C.

this is going to sound wierd but i got 18 mpg hauling my dirtbike all the way from colorado springs to grand junction almost 350 miles each way. this trip takes me over I-70 through several mountain passes. i usually drive 75-80 mph i have a 2009 AC 4L v6 auto.
i also made the same trip recently doing better than 80 mph the whole way in my lexus IS-350 and got 28 mpg
here is my theroy. both of these vehicles have a lot of torque. because of this it takes very little effort to ascend hills but they coast forever on the down hill sides. i know it seems strange but i have taken trips in the Lex where i got 31 mph over mountain ranges < that time i was really trying to get better MPG berses driving the same car at the same speed on flat ground i only get 28-29 mpg because im at a constant drag and constant speed there are no hills to roll down.
i dont drive like a grandma by any means. in fact my lex on the last trip that got me 28 mpg i was doing like 90 up a couple 7% grades to pass some slow people (just cause i can and its a blast in that car lol) but suprised i still got that good of mpg

anyway im suprised some of you report low numbers because my first trip hauling a bike through the mountain ranges of colorado with this truck had less than 1,000 miles on it and i still got 18 mpg out of my first full tank on a trip i took without stopping.

ya that's no regular mountain pass either... the biggest difference in mpg is the driver imo...

I don't think anyone is saying the 09 model year has anything to do with it, as this model year is just now 8 months or so old with quite a few owners having the vehical less than 3 or 4 months, I think what they are asking is, is this in line with what the previous model years are getting. imo

Your numbers are what I think I am getting around town and hope to get on the highway. My wifes V6 Camry sips fule, again never checked but I can get well over 450 miles on a tank on the highway. I guess that is what aerodynamics can do for MPG's

I have a 09 Access Cab V6,4x4 6 speed manaul and have 11,000 miles on it now.
I still only get 14-16 mpg no matter city, highway, 55mph or 80 mph

I took everyone's input and it looks like you are averaging about 18 mpg in the city and 21 mpg in the highway.

I can't understand why I am only getting 14 mpg, seems really low compared to the average.

I have an 09 DC LB 2WD with just shy of 1000 on the clock. Filled it twice and I'm getting around 19 mpg. Mixed highway/suburbs. If I'm on the highway, I think I get closer to 21.

I got 18.2 on my last tank. Mixed city/highway, with some eager driving on the highway at times, and some quick accelerating from traffic lights to get ahead of grandma in the other lane. Truck has 1,400 miles on it. V6 OR DC
