Opinions on tires??

im happy with LT's, they ride well and the truck deff handles better, well the side wall's for the base is 75 from the factory already and the width (on the offroads) is 265 from the factory.. i wouldnt be surprised if they fit as the truck sits now, but i just got these BFGs, and after much deliberation im pretty sure im gonna keep what i got lol, they are the size that came on the truck, and i dont wanna have to change my spare too, cause its 245/75/16 too lol.. and i dont want to mess with my speedo either, its calibrated for that particular size.. and i dont want my fuel ecomony to suffer lol... and im getting the bilstein 5100's soon, front and back, and ill raise the front on the middle setting of 1.75 inches so it can finally be level lol

 

Blacked out the emblems, and added the bullbar and lights, and the logo. Would like to do wheels and tires, and maybe a lift on the front to level it.

I've always been really happy with BFG tires. Those are generally my tire of choice, so I would keep them.

 

If I could figure a way to get them off so they can be re-used, I'd sell them to you. I'm currently just looking at what design I want to replace them with, then I'm going to do flat black decals.

Or a business associate of mine. Depends on what I want. I've heard nothing but good things about Sock, but if it's an original design I want, then I have to keep my associate happy.

If you can afford the new tires then I say go fo it since you won't be happy until you get the look you want. 265/75/16 aren't that much bigger but know that you will lose a little mpg due. I lost about 2mpg due to heavier wheels and tires.

 

yes, thats true, i believe those are just alittle wider.. but idk.. most people seem to like how it looks lol

yes, the 265/70's are stock on the off road package only, and i think the sport is 265/65's on a 17 inch wheel.. but my truck is a base model double cab 4x4, so it came with the 245/75's on those steel wheels.... i just dont particularly like the way the narrower tire looks, the wider tire just looks so nice to me.. so i ordered some cooper discoverer A/T'3 today, and they'll be in tomorrow sometime
