Torque Wrench Recommendation

Love my snapon. Beat the crap out of it bouncing around in the back of one of the work truck out of the case for over a ear and sent it in to be re-calibrated it but it was still dead nutz so they didn't even adjust it.

Also have the $30.00 autozone ones and they are fine, they just don't last under heavy use.

I know I got another one from McMaster (may have been Grainger)I believe that was reasonable and works great and seems well made I just can't remember the make. I know this last sentence doesn't help...

 

I've got a Snap-on 1/2 drive torque wrench I inherited from my Dad, who bought it in 1962. It's never been calibrated or repaired. I recently bought a new Snap-on 3/8 drive torque wrench and when I picked it up, I brought along the old 1/2 inch drive unit and had the accuracy checked at the dealer. Guess what...It's still dead-on. I guess you get what you pay for! Spend the money to buy the best and you cry once. Buy something because it's cheap and cry every time you use it!

Anyone have experience with this one? Just need something for changin the spark plugs and using for various stuff on the taco

 

Do you have the item number for the Snap-On torque wrench? I need one that can cover most bolt toqueing on my Tacoma and my Kawasaki ZX-12R bike. Thanks. I was looking at Craftsman models, but I know Snap-On tools are much better...

 

I'm not a fan of electronic torque wrenches.
For a little over half that price you can get a Craftsman or Husky that'll do what you are wanting to do.

Get one that ranges from 10-80 ft/lbs
