Just a bunch of old crap
We will have a cast net this time, but last Friday we caught over 3 dozen within an hour with our ultralight poles and some of those Berkley scented maggots on a size 10 hook. Part of the fun was catching the bait! Plus, it's really tough to transport bluegills from an in-town golf course out to the lake without having a bunch of them go into shock. We catch them quick right there at the lake, and they stress alot less and don't have to be conditioned to the different water.

A couple of small bites, but nothing except a bunch of dead bluegills again and 2 tiny catfish caught when trying to get bait. It was a sloooooow night. When we first got there, one of the storms was rolling in so the wind was horrendous. That calmed, then it rained sporadically in the evening but nothing bad. We had so many baits out there, but only one time when we had 3 poles in a row get hit pretty good. Nothing got hooked though.

Steve and I were talking about going to Pleasant next time and doing a catfish/striper trip. It's closer to home and it's newer territory for us. We can go around the back of the lake and there are plenty of points to fish from.
