Hmmm that's not a bad idea. I agree w/ Idaho, clear coat would be good after. I'll have to look into that one. Thanks for the idea!

Next up, steering rack bushings replacement. I crawled under the truck the other day and had my buddy move the steering wheel left and right while I watched the power steering rack  so the same night I ordered the new bushings from toytech and decided to throw in the brake proportioning valve bracket in there for good measure. Brake kit took about 5 quick minutes. The power steering rack bushings however, look a bit scarier so I'm going to wait for a day off for that one.

Hey that looks pretty damn good! I like it. Was it hard to paint the chrome on the bumper? What kind of paint and prep did you use?

So today I towed the old man's double axle dump trailer to lowe's for a friend of mine who's brave enough to rebuild his back porch. Its my first time towing it with the lift and wheels on it and well... felt the difference. It is a pretty heavy steel trailer. All things considered I think she did okay. Driving through the city in stop and go traffic and lights, I tried to see if i could get the motor to over heat. I turned on the AC, drove with a slightly heavy foot just to see if the temp gauge would rise any more than usual. Nothing. Never budged passed normal operating temp. I love my truck. She's small but she has a big heart.

actually my front and rear bumpers were factory black when i bought the truck, and i was looking for someone to trade the solid black to a chrome, but then dad had the idea to put those little chrome trim strips on the sides of it, to give it a little bit of chrome, but i have seen people paint their bumpers black from the chrome. also do you have your front shocks adjusted to anything? or are they setting at 0"? also sorry about the reply i aint been on here in a couple months been busy all summer....
