Stock 2012 Taco Radio

I'm in the market for a new Taco & I just checked out a few last week. Does anybody know if the stock Toyota head unit can get HD radio stations? Ex 92.5 HD2,3 and so on. Thanks!

 

My DC non-Entune h/u does not receive hd radio stations. Not sure about Entune though.

 

Thanks! I didn't think it did. Is the JBL Entune package something they could add to the truck at the dealership?

 

ive got a stock 12 radio, dont ever listen to the regular radio, always on xm and bluetooth, pretty sure you can NOT get hd channels. do those still exist? i always thought they were a marketing ploy that failed

 

Not completely sure if they would install Entune as a dealer installed option but I suspect not. Entune does have HD radio but for 2012 you can only get Entune in a double cab. I originally wanted Entune but the reviews were Luke warm at best and I looked at one at the dealer and decided it wasn't worth the $1700+. I know some guys are happy with it though. I would definitely spend some time checking it out if you are on the fence. Good luck.

 

Having volume issues,it appears I have lost a lot of the volume,all speakers are putting out,but am not getting the volume I used to get.Is is possible I have an amp in protect mode or an issue with the head unit,this was just one of those all of a sudden problems. The loss difference is about half or better on the volume,any help will be appreciated........BTW great site lots of great info here.

 

I just took delivery of a '12 Tacoma last week and was told Entune cannot be installed at the dealership. However, it's supposed to be available as a factory option for all 2013 cab styles.
