Ive tried just about everything in search and advanced search and my whole stereo and the ac controls are out on my seat and I just need to figure out what is preventing me from pulling out the main ac vent consul?

If anyone knows if theres a clip i cant see holding the left side in, can you explain how to take it apart or point me to the right thread? do i have to remove the whole speedometer area first?

    [EDITED: -- Resolved Below:]
    2/4/07

I got a chance to work on my truck this morning, after fiddling' around for a little while I figured out that the dash is very simple to remove, if you know how.

For those interested, here is how to get off the dashboard (To get to the upper switches, controls, remove the gauge pod cluster, or just gain easy access to the fuse box or behind the dash....:

1: If you have a pull-brake, there is a U shaped cover that has 4 pop-on clips - pull it strait out to remove. (Not sure about auto's, maybe the pocket comes off)

2: Next, near the pull brake is a flip down cover about 4" long and 1" wide - flip it down and remove the bolt holding the dash.

3: Remove or pull back the kick-panel guard (Floorboard dash peice) and remove the other bolt holding the left side of the dash.

4: Pull and wiggle it strait, directly back towards you, one side at a time. The lower section will snap clip loose.

5: Remove the two plastic screws from the upper section, above the guage pod.

6: Grab around the steering column, and the now open bottom half, and pull the dash front (Again, strait back, directly towards you) - Several clips will snap loose and it will eventually come loose.

7: You may need to remove the wiring harness plugs from the dash, they all have press-in clips that you push in while pulling the plug out.

Note: When replaing the dash, make sure to snap the top panel back into the top dash pad - there is NO gap, if there is a gap, remove it and start over.

Not my right up so not sure if works, but seems right.
