Checking back in. My first past didn't go so well last month. Didn't eat enough that morning and bonked after the run. Kept training and took the past again yesterday and passed! Now just to wait to see what my leave date is. And keep training!

Best of luck dmb! I've got 10.5 years in the AF as an aircraft mechanic (avionics) under mah belt, and wouldn't change it for the world! Check back in before you ship out and after you grad basic / tech school! If you have any questions about BMT I am sure some of us old crusty Airmen can give you the low down your recruiter isn't telling you... haha!

UPDATE! Graduated Air Force BMT two weeks ago, now I'm here at Sheppard AFB for tech school. Those 8 1/2 weeks at BMT were the best and worst 8 1/2 weeks of my life! Looking back it was a pretty fun time, made some of the best friends and had some good laughs. Marching down that bomb run for graduation was the best feeling in the world.

I had some trouble getting the EOD spot that I wanted since I was so close to the age limit. It's all worked out for the best though, I'll be doing Metals Technology, and I'm super stoked. Should get advance phase next weekend and will be able to go off-base, even though there is nothing to do here in Wichita Falls apparently LOL.

Loving life right now though, glad I joined the Air Force! I should know next week where my first duty station will be.....should be interesting.
