Any concern that the latch will come undone if it gets caught on something? From the picture it looks like it hangs down a bit far.

It's still above the bumper. But I'm gonna add a pin latch on the other side for safety and to lock it in an open position. It already has a lock on it tho

If that's what you're gonna do, you might as well have kept the rolled body.

R did the bumper latch after looking it over all today.

Now it's totally outa the way. I also like the pull angle it has now to as it forces the gate towards the bumper better. Locks down great. Solid

Welded the too on the rack back on too. Was kinda shocked I didn't remember it being so tall ha makes me want to get the roof basket done ASAP tho.

Nice work bud, I like the antenna location/storage. Got a link to the part for folding it back like that?

Ya it actually turned out really good. Almost too good ha I figured I could attach it somehow to the RTT with it folded down but dang, it's damn near like it it was meant to be like that haha

Here is the folding mount I used

I agree with this. The corners of the bumper are probably the most vulnerable and dragged the most often. Even if you put a pin on it you'll bend the crap out of the handle the first time you drag it. (ask me how I know).

Nevermind. I was just going to post my above comments then I saw your pics of how you changed it. Nicely done. You'll be much happier with it that way.

Thanks Mike. Been a lot of work for sure

Ya man you bet. Just remember that the antenna must go on the folding part, the spring can go ontop of the folding part due to how it operates.

Ya thanks man. I like it better that way already. Clamps down everything much better amd is outa the way

Turns out my stuipid trailer plug wires were touching shorting out the fuse

I don't think anyone is making them..they were just on the FS section a long time ago i saw. And searched and found the post again and no one had claimed em yet so i did.

here is the thread.. looks promising. I hope they work good.

i swaped in a new leaf today. Only took an hour and 20 mins lol im getting way to good at taking the leafs off

looks much better, ride feels pretty much the same for now. We shall see how they do this weekend

    Before adding a Skyjacker leaf..

truck was sitting fairly level. I have the OSK in there too on the ass end of the bed so there is a good 300-400 lbs on the rear of the truck. The leafs were pretty much flat tho..

the wheelers 5 packs with the wheelers AAL

looks much better to me. I have the rake back now  just how i like it.

have a sound gig this afternoon early evening, then im gonna wire up the stereo..or half of it and the CB tonight.
