    Hey,

I decided to register with this group because the site helped me get two new tires on my brand new 2012 Tacoma within a month of purchasing it. It was shimmying even at 30 miles per hour. The dealership said nothing was wrong with it. I had to get in touch with the vice president in my area of Virginia and he had another dealership look at it and two tires were defective.

    My name is Larry.

I have a question and am not sure if I post it here, but...

What do you all clean all of the "vinyl" on the outside of the truck? The dealership told me not to put anything on it or it will turn "white", but I am sure with time, I will need to put something on it to make it shine.

I already use tire spray on tires and all exposed areas surrounding tires.

    Thanks.

What vinyl are you referring to? The decals?

    Yeah.
Welcome! If you got one with Dunflops, I am not surprised you had problems, Toyota should stop being cheap and use better tires.

If your Tacoma has the black plastic trim (not color-matched), Mother's makes a product called "Back to Black" that works well.

First of all...yes they are Dunlops. I like Dunflops.

I am referring to all of the black on the body of the truck surrounding the wheels as well as bumpers and cab.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on all the outside vinyl and rubber trim on my Tacoma. Check out the "Ask the Detailer Thread" in the Detail section. They talk about it there. Hope this helps.
