Don't forget that the cost of used vehicles has gone up quite a bit thanks to the cash for clunkers program. A lot of potential used cars were destroyed in that program reducing the supply of vehicles on the used car market driving prices up somewhat. Now on the flip side of that, dealers are paying more for trade ins.

Roger that on your reminder of the tailgate; I did that with my 09 DC and likely wouldn't have remembered without your post.

As for tint, I typically go with our legal limit here, 35%. Front windows, windshield brow, and although the rear window is factory tint, I always like to put 35% on that as well.

    And thanks for the welcome!

I feel ya on the tint.....35% here as well but I did 20% much to the shagrin of my GF. I had asked around to local cops if they really enforced it and they all pretty much said that they only enforce tint on people that are dicks. Ex......kid in ricer car gets an attitude......oh well ur tint is illegal too so thats another citation. Or if its limo tint. over 1.5 yrs with my 20% and no problems.

    rememeber to post pics;)

I'll post pics, but who here doesn't know what a Sport Access Cab looks like? :D

I must say - it's really nice to get back into the Taco. Getting rid of my 09 DC wasn't one of my better decisions.

Couple of things I'll ask on this thread.

(I'm a member of a few other vehicle/sports forums, and I know it's frustrating to open new threads all the time...and I do practice using the "search" feature. It does annoy me when newbs come to a forum asking a question that's been answered 5 pages worth just a day or two previous, so I'll try to watch myself! :)).

Cabarbhab - I see you're obviously Air Force? Nellis? I retired as an E-9 in 1991 (damn - was it that long ago??).

So - first - thank you (and everyone else here) for your selfless service to our country!

Now - I've owned trucks for years, so I'll start with the disclaimer on MGP figures: "Yes, I know it's a truck!" LOL.

But when I had my 09 DC and was a member of another (rather unfriendly) Tacoma forum, I seem to recall that the "sweet spot" for the 4.0L for best fuel economy was just at or under 2,000 rpm.

Am I correct in that recollection? If it matters, I have the 5-sp auto.

Like I said - I know it's no Prius (thank God), but was just curious as to the "prime target" on the 4.0L.

    Thanks everyone.
