    are the tire pressure sensors diffrent for the steel wheels than the ones on the aluminum wheels?

    would you happen to know where i could check part #s. ,the sensors that i have look like the ones i see for the alloy wheels, they have the 20 degree angle and the part # is paxpmv108j. any ideas?

    Found this on another forum but no part numbers. "Two types of sensors for Toyota, one with a 20 degree angle used for the steel wheels and one with a 40 degree angle for the aluminum wheels."

    De-badged, limo tint, black wet okole's, weathertechs, extra d-rings, TSB bilsteins
    I had mine switched from steel wheels to alloy wheels with no problems. I've heard they are different, but they fit by being mounted differently :confused:....I don't know exactly, but the ones from steel wheels do in fact work on some alloy wheels.

    Opp's apparently the person i quoted above has it backwards. The 20 degree angle sensors are used in the TRD alloy wheels and the 40 degress in the "steel" wheels.

    Also here's what I found for the part numbers.

    Toyota TPMS Sensor
    $82 42607-06011 Tire Valve Sub-Assembly
    42607-06011, 42607-33021 & 42607-33011 for 2006 – 2009 Tacoma w/Off-Road or Sport package (TRD alloy wheels)
    Frequency : 315 MHZ
    Color : Black
    Valve stem angle: 20 Degree

    As for the "steel" wheel sensor part number. i just can't seem to find it.

    the above post was correct the sensors off the steel wheels will in fact work on the alloy wheels, all you have to do is turn the angle a little.
