    Hi ladies and gents,
    My first time on a forum so as an old guy I have things to learn. I have a '97 extended cab 4WD Tacoma that I like better than any vehicle I've ever owned, and I've had a lot of them through the years. Will be talking to you sometime.

    Hi.
    The engine conversion was an immense job, especially for someone who has never done one before and had little help. It took about 9 months, with some big interruptions and got done only through muleheaddedness - partly due to the fact that, like jumping over a cliff, once you begin there's no turning back! And I needed my truck!
    I learned a lot, like: "If I ever talk about doing something like this again someone just shoot me!" A couple of things that made it particularly difficult: 1) an older truck without the computerized everything would have been better and 2) don't do it in a 4WD.
    I did take a number of pics along the way but haven't resized them or had the time to write the sad story that goes along with them. I will attach a few recent pics for now.
    So far fuel mileage around town is 25.4 and 25.0.
