I've been very happy with the Hercules Terra Trac AT

No snow use as I've only had the tires for 5 months. I had Duratracs in 285/70/17 but the fuel/power loss and lack of maneuverability forced my hand, as I had a 2600km trip from Toronto to Regina.

These are P rated 265/70/17 with OME lift and 1.25 spacers.
Very quiet, got my fuel mileage back and they look pretty good too. Lots of sipes.

Thinking of switching to an 18" rim and getting these again

the Bridgestone Dueler 265/65 17's that came stock on my truck are quite nice so far. ride real well in the rain. but they are no AT off road set.

I'd replace them in a minute w/ the same in 265/70 size if I had an extra 1250 bux to blow.

Picked up a set of wrangler silent armor 265/70-17s a couple months ago after a couple hydroplaning incidents with the bridgestone duelers that came with the fj wheels I put on the truck. MUCH improved in the rain. On the highway after some torrential rain a couple weeks ago went through some puddles without even flinching that I am sure would have put me into the guard rail with the old tires. Road noise is marginally higher, and MPG is pretty much the same. Very happy with them so far. We'll see what happens when the snow flies.

Well, admitting my mistakes has never come easy.
    However, OZ, I apologize.
Seems the problem I am experiencing on my Taco is not tire related.
I recently had the TSB done for the 4 leafs and when I got it back noticed the "growl" coming from who knows where?
I attributed this to the tires, since they were OEM, and replacee them with the ATM's. The "growl" seemed more noticable and I wrongly blamed this on the ATM's.

So, here I am with the Dynapro RH12's, which are indeed more quiet, but, I still have this freaking "growl" that after doing some reading may be yet another known issue, (driveline, u-joints, WTF?)

I have another appt. scheduled for next week @ the dealer where I bought it.

If anybody has any input on this kind of noise issue on deceleration around 50-60 MPH please let me know.

Is something rubbing in the rear since the TSB leaf install ?
