How to tell which chassis size i have

    I just bought a 83 toyota and when I went to the part store they asked me if it is a 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton or 1 ton?? I have no idea how to tell which one I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm not sure what the standard Pickup is rated at but I would think half-ton. I have seen one 1-ton toyota pickup, and it was a dually, never heard of a 3/4 ton though

    Never heard of a 3/4 ton.
    The 1-ton were duallies, usually flatbeds.
