Could someone help me by explaining how to remove the left kick panel (under and to the left of the dash fuse panel)? It looks like the black rubber foot rest is hiding a bolt or screw. I got the outer end free after removing the sill trim.

More to the point I'm trying to locate the main ground screw/terminal (if there is one). I might improvise with any available chasis screw, but would prefer a wired ground for this and future projects.

I already busted up one of the aux power ports  trying to remove it to access a switched hot lead (and ground) (still didn't get it out)

I'm going to use an add-a-circuit braker to the washer/wiper fuse. (found that the "aux power" fuse is always hot, despite the aux power shuts down without the key turned to "ON" )

Off to get some more elect parts before O'Riely's closes.

    Thanks.

Perpendicular to the floor, or slide along the floor toward the seat?

    LOL!

That's what I thought, but it wasn't clear and the way some of these goodies need to be pulled slightly then given a 1/4 turn, then slid .0004" then pulled again... You never know.

I found out the hard way that the coat hooks do come out, but you need to get a thin blade in there to depress the clip or it'll snap off.
Put mine back in and they didn't fall out, but next order from Dallas I bought replacements.

Hmm.... When I installed the UG, I'm pretty sure I used a screwdriver to pull a Phillip's and it just came out. Maybe not though, I'd have to look.

    Ahh... I remember now.
I removed the visor to run from the pillar to the glass, but then tucked it in front of the clip end without pulling the headliner down.

    Thanks Brock! Very helpful.

These operations, like card tricks, are simple if you know the secret.

Like Rich said, you never know how simple or complex the various Toyota clip puzzle is going to be.

Tonite I already mangled the Aux power plug trying to remove it with a teeny, tiny screw driver, and amost looked like it would come out with just a little more straight out pulling. So i stuck my finger in the plug to pull out, and the next thing I know blood is dripping out of the plug. Never did get it out, and now it looks like the mice gnawed it and the cover broke off. Derp.

I wound up bypassing the panel and am establishing a new ground point by way of wire through the firewall. An I bypassed the power plug fiasco by creating a fuse wire tap.

    Thanks again!:)
