    access cab...
i dont want to mount on back wall...

my Kenwood x600f 4ch amp is not going to fit under the seats or inside the tub area under the jumpseats, its about 3 inches too fat. its always something...

this is so frustrating because i just bought this amp less than a year ago to squeeze it into my last truck...

i def want the amp out of site. do you guys have any ideas to getting extra room under the jumpseats? (im thinking thats impossible)

i'll hear out any kenwood amp recommendations you guys have. this 4ch amp was going to be run in 2ch mode since im only setting up front components...

this sucker is 15 wide and 12 inches deep.

my installer is a dealer so its much better if i stick with kenwood. he can get stuff much faster which keeps me happy and keeps him happy.

    I found this thread
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/audio-video/1805-amplifier-locations-access-cabs-2.html

and my x600f ALMOST fit under the drivers seat, after reading the above thread, it looks like i can remove a stabilization bar from under the passenger seat and it might score enough room to get the amp under there. im gonna go have another look outside...

Do people sit in the back? If not this is what I did and when the jumpseat is down you can't see the amp.

i throw the dog in the back... so he needs to stand back there (90 pounds)

tragedy averted thanks to the forum... i removed the seat, and was able to remove the thick bar that hangs down under the passenger seat. that giant amp fits under the passenger seat with no problem. there about 3 inches of room on either side, a 1/4" on the top, and room to spare fwd and back. the floor under that seat is flat which is a huge help.

i think if i installed the bar upside down it still would have hit it... after we put the amp in, i may try to reinstall it but im not losing any sleep over it.

    It's a 5-ch, but how about the XR-5S?
