    This.

I tend to get 18-21 in the winter, 21-24 in the summer for mine (EPA says 14/19 for my truck), but I've practiced steady foot mod nearly obsessively, closely monitor the ultra-gauge, have synthetic fluids all-around, and keep my butt out of the big city.

Some of the difference you see is likely from Toyota changing gear lubes in the diffs. Back in '05 (maybe '06 too, not sure) they put in straight 90W; after that up to '08 they used 75w90; '09 and up have 75w85 from the factory.

Thanks for the info, very helpful. Sounds like the engine itself hasn't changed in the past few years, just a few other things.
If today's plans get changed due to rain, I'm heading to the dealer and see what I can get.
I thought about the 4cyl, couldn't do it. Milage increase wasn't enough to justify it; and I want the higher tow capacity and power available with the V6.

Good luck man, most people don't consider future gas/oil prices in their descision, as gas prices go up, some people end up trade/selling what they have, just something to consider.
