I shoot a simmons red dot sight on a B-square mount with my 835 and wouldn't trade it for anything. Been shooting the same set-up for nearly 10 years now and have yet to have any trouble with it. It's a turkey's nightmare!

now dont get me wrong..i would love a red dot equiped turkey gun. i actually would love a camo, long barreled, red-dot optic equipped, over and under..

BUT...just for coolness. i killed my first shotgun turkey this past spring. the rest have been archery kills. lining up a bead on a turkey has got to be the easiest hunting move of all time..how do you miss? is it overkill?

again, my O/U turkey gun will have reddot..just asking.

I've wanting a red dot becuase sometimes I loose sight of it in the woods and have to keep finding it. I think its mainly excitement. Last season I shot my buddies shotgun that had a red dot and loved it. Knock on wood, I've never hit a turkey and couldn't recover it but I have seen a couple people do that and I just want to be extra safe to make a clean kill.
