That sucks! I can't stand damage that is not quite bad enough to make it worthwhile for an insurance claim. Maybe you can find a shop that will be able to buff it out.

I have to pay $500 deductable for my insurance. At least it's bettter than $1600.

$1600!!! Take a check and end up with a badass steel bumper and spare cash.

For what it's worth, my dad backed into my truck in the driveway. Deductible was $700, ARB $750 shipped.. took the logical route.

I honestly think bumpers should not devalue a vehicles over-all resale price (within reason). Hell, that's what they're made for! I'm not saying people should go out and use their vehicles like bumper cars but a few dings and/or a couple scuffs shouldn't be a devalue advantage point for a buyer buying a used vehicle.

I was thinking about getting an All Pro bumper. I was mad, and thinking that if I had a plate bumper, I would love to see some idot run into it. I was sitting on the fence between a plate bumper and stock. I was thinking an off-road rear bumper would not match the rest of the truck that is not off-road equiped. I have no intentions of going off-roading. My wife's opinion is that an off rooad rear bumper would look out of place with nothing else off-road on the truck. That kind of pushed me back to the side of the fence of the stock bumper. The All-Pro bumper is a nice bumper, but it would cost me a few hundred more than my $500 deductable, especially since I need the hitch receiver, and shipping to Canada is double that in the US.

The damage is $1600 because the bumper is bent, and it scraped the box, causing the left side of the box to be repainted, and because everything costs twice as much in Canada than it does in the US. It's our special Canadian pricing.
