2012 Access Cab Rear Speakers Location?

Hi,

I have a 2012 Access cab tacoma sport and looking to change out the speakers but not exactly sure where the rear speakers are. It seems to be in the head liner but dont know how to access them, Anyone know?

Looked in manual no info. searched youtube unable to find anything

 

They're in the roof above the front seats, turn up the volume and put your hand up there you will be able to feel them. I read on here they're a mofo to replace

 

Wouldn't bother with trying to replace the roof speakers in an AC. I replaced my two front door speakers in mine and it made a world of a difference. Those headliner speakers are so small that unless you tune your radio to full rear you can barely tell they're there.

 

Yea the rears suck, i have the radio faded to the front, if i dont do this the sound comming out of the rears is distorted

 

What are the sizes of the headliner speakers?

i wonder if we can retor fit the read doors for speakers...

 

Its possible, if you do it let me know, because i plan on doing it also. Ill post pics when i do
