I had this pair of Polk Mobile Monitor MM691 6x9's in the front doors of my Tacoma for about two weeks before I received a set of components for my birthday. It is now too late to return the Polks to Crutchfield so I am selling them instead. I am including a pair of adapter/mounting brackets I made out of 3/4" MDF and painted with black Rustoleum that had about 10 days drying time before installation. The brackets perform their function well with no rattles at all, but they do look handmade--the speaker sits about 1/4" below the exact center of the speaker hole. This is really a non-issue because you can't see them with the door panel on, but it's worth mentioning. I'm asking $150, local pickup in the San Francisco Bay Area preferred but I am willing to ship. I would expect shipping to be anywhere from $20 to $50 depending on where you live.

As far as performance goes, these speakers have incredible sound quality and base for what they are. These are a great alternative to installing a subwoofer if you don't want to sacrifice the space in the backseat, and with dynamat in the doors I did not hear any rattles. That said, I do recommend you amp them...at 100w rms each I was impressed.
