    then i think 18psi will be ok..you can always go a few more pounds if you need to but 18psi should be a good starting point. just don't go too low or you will have the potential in de-beading a tire..and loosing vital ground clearance

    make sure you have a decent recovery strap and at least 2 shackles/d-rings


    you should be good to go out there. the scenery and landscape in that whole region is absolutely amazing, i wish i could go but my work schedule is in the way.

    My grabbers do fine in the sand..just can't be afraid to properly air them down. I air mine down to 10 PSI due to the fact that the grabbers have an extremely thick sidewall and wont flex enough unless they are aired down low enough

    Exactly, the heavier the tire, the more air needs to come out. When I had Cooper Discoverer STTs, they wouldn't float until I had them down to 10 psi. Rugged Trails worked at 15 psi.
