Im going to start by saying im not very good with electronics so use small words with me. I am tired of the in dash nav, specifically the software. Its incredibly un-intuitive and difficult to use. If I could just load google maps on it I would but that doesnt sound like an option. Im looking for a replacement that is plug & play compatible, maybe minor modifications. It needs to keep the steering wheel and back-up camera functional. I am not against upgrading though, if there is an option that is more expensive but includes a DVD player Im all ears. Im just starting my research so any info would be great.

Just about any headunit you get will be plug and play. The steering wheel controls are a separate wire harness and are dependent on the type of headunit you purchase. Just about any Double Din headunit will play DVDs, and encorporates a touchscreen for ease of use. The best suggestion I have is to go to an Audio Electronics store and mess around with the double dins and see which interface you like best. Take note of the model and then hit the internet for the best price. There are plenty of (sticky) threads to help with installation. The wire harness is color coded to the radio harness, and then you will have to integrate the radio control harness. It is very simplistic and almost humorous that car shops charge so much to install a headunit. As for installation it is just a waiting game for the 2012 dash kit. Once those come out it will be simple. Plug the wire harness in, bolt the headunit back in and enjoy.
