I'm getting ready to pull the trigger a set of 285/75R16 and I was wondering if you guys knew the cheapest place to get the following tires.

    1. Cooper Discoverer ST
    2. Cooper Discoverer ST Max
    3. BFG A/T
    4. Nitto Trail Grappler

I haven't made up my mind on which tire to go with. I'm leaning towards the Cooper Discoverer ST as I have run them before and loved them. Also ran the BFG and I like them a lot as well and prefer their looks. The cheapest I have found the BFG's and cooper st max was eBay and the cheapest for the st was tirecrawler.com.

    Thanks for the help!

My buddy has the terra grapplers and he doesn't like them at all. I don't care for the look myself. The trail grapplers are a boss though!

yeah. i have not done much with them. light off roading, little bit of mud. than agin i came from the stock ruggad fails. the looks of them is not has nice as the trail. but better than stock.

reason i got the terra over the trails is i’m not lift yet, and till than i wont be doing much off roading. logging roads and stuff, hunting and wanted something that was snow rated.

I don't know about the other tires, but I know you can get the BFG A/Ts at Costco. I just put a new set of Michelins on my 4Runner there but I remember seeing the A/Ts on their racks. Before I bought my tires I priced them at seven different stores and no one could touch Costco's price (when you factor in mounting, balancing, tire repair, lifetime rotations, etc.). I didn't price A/Ts at all of those stores, but I would bet you would have similar luck when you factor in the mounting, balancing, tire repair, lifetime rotations, etc.

Just to add, the ST Maxx are the only tires in that list I'd personally consider.

Yeah....my buddy has them and hates them. I was looking at the Trail grappler which is another mt that nitto offers. More expensive than KM2's? I've never seen that.

I'd go through a place like Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct LONG before I bought tires off Ebay. Find a local place that price matches, search the web, then bring the price to that place. That way you're getting your tires through a reputable dealer at a good price should you have any problems with them.

Shop around a bit. Cheapest place I've found is tirerack.com, however, print out their prices, go to discount tire and they'll price match. I always prefer discount tire due to their awesome warranties and plus it's right up the road from my house, lol

Thanks for the king words guys.

We guarantee the lowest delivered price in the internet for all of the products we carry. If you happen to find a lower price let us know and we will beat it. Our shipping is FREE.

The same goes for a local store. If you take a competitors installed price to any of the local stores they will beat any installed price for that product.

treadepot.com has some pretty good prices, too. Depending on your location and shipping charges they can be as cheap or cheaper than DTD. They carry some stuff DTD doesn't either.

That being said, I've made my last 3 purchases through DTD and have been extremely happy.
