Think of the pros and cons of getting a 2012 or 2013.

    2012:

Pros: You can get a cheaper deal than a 2013. You can get it now instead of waiting. When you go to sell it will have lower km's/miles then a 2013 which would be normal km's/miles or more km's/miles for the year. You could probably get accessories thrown in since that the dealer is going to want it off the lot for the 2013.

Cons: It's not a 2013. It's not the same year in which it came out in. There might be something on the you could miss out on that's on the 2013 and not the 2012. The longer you wait you may not get all the things you want in a 2012 then getting everything you want in a 2013. So you might have to compromise on what you want, need in your Tacoma.

    2013:

Pros: It's the same year in which you bought it in. it's the newest of the new. You have all the bells and whistles. Maybe even some that are not on the 2012. You can tell people that you got a 2013 and not a 2012.

Cons: You're going to be probably paying more for the truck being a year newer and the same km's/miles than a 2012. Probably no changes from 2012 to 2013. A lot harder to haggle a price on a 2013 then a 2012.

That pretty much sums it all up.

If I were you, I would wait if you don't need it right away. That would be my only criteria. For me, I would want the 2013 right when it hit the dealer. You get to savor having a brand new truck, most people wont have one, and if you get a 2012 right now, you,ll see the 2013 and wish you had waited just a little longer (that would be me).

brny67- I will definitely post pics when i get it.
I turned down a Silverado last week even thou I was offered 6,000 off sticker!
I have no use for a full size.
I'm holding off till end of September so I can check out the 2013's just in case, or grab a good deal on any 2012's left.

Other than the 2013 limited the only real way to tell a 2013 from a 2012 is te missing front bed pockets

So theyre going the way of Dodge, Ford, Chevy. Just because you chrome everything doesnt mean its going to make the produt look that much better.

Bad thing is that all the pieces are plastic chrome. Not true metal chrome. I think it add $2000 to the sticker
