So I think I've done a fair amount of homework in searching old threads and gaining knowledge on upgrading my tires on my new 2012 Tacoma (which I'm extensively pleased with). I've learned that the suggested maximum upgrade size would be 265 75 16 for my truck. I've also done some research within the forum and from my local Toyota where I purchased the truck regarding warranty and what upgrading my tire size may or may not void.

I'm really looking to upgrade my tire size with as few issues as possible. Should I encounter any real potential problems I'll gladly stay with the stock Dunlops already have equipped on my vehicle. So let me ask the questions I initially came on here to ask.

I have seen on the tire size calculator on here that the maximum size for my 2012 4cyl Tacoma would be 265 75 on 16" rims. Okay, will this tire bring me any issues of rubbing? Will this possibly turn on my "check engine" light because it could throw off my speedometer? I'd really like to keep my truck in the shape it is in now and I guess I'm somewhat hesitant about causing problems for myself by simply upgrading my tire size. Any insight regarding this would be greatly appreciated, and I'll go ahead and thank anyone who is able to do so. Thanks in advance.

    Just in case...

You will not have any rubbing with the 265/75R16. You will not get any check engine lights. Your speedometer will actually begin to read correctly when switching to this size.
