Pick up my new 2012 TRD Off Road TODAY

Been looking at all types of rigs this last week, from Chevy, Ford, Nissan, the works, have found lots of changes in features, options, makes and models since my last purchase in '95 (1995 GMC 3/4t 4X4).
I love user forums as they provide a wealth of knowledge, advice, recommendations, and fun reading.

My type of driving is all about getting there. Don't plan on doing much in the way of pure 4X activity, but rather having a destination in mind, and being able to get there, and back. Alive

Looking forward to searching out information, and looking for recommended items and advice on what to get before venturing out into the outback.

    Thanks for the welcome.

Picked up the truck yesterday, very happy with dealership and my salesperson. I had 125 miles or three days to return if not satisfied for full refund, not happening.

Ordered a tailgate extender, and beefier front skid plate, for starters and will add as needed or recommended.

Ride is firm, steering feels much different from my full sized GMC with 300k miles that was totaled last week. Will take some time for me to read and absorb all the features listed in the owners books, as I also got the navigation system. Wasn't going to get it as I have plenty of GPS units already, but it came with a host of other nice features and the price was fair.

A lot has changed since my '95 truck so will take it easy as I get to know my new ride.

Looking forward to reading posts, listening and asking for advice as I go along.

    :D
